Frequently Asked Questions

  • How do I make a meme?

Pick a reaction picture or your own photo, keep or change its caption, and download it. Your words are lettered in white capitals with a black outline, the classic meme style.

  • Is the meme generator free?

Yes, and unlimited: the caption is drawn on the picture right in your browser. Only a brand-new picture made from a description uses credits, like any image on Craiyon.

  • Can I use my own photo?

Yes. Pick “Use your own photo”: your photo stays on your device, and the caption is added in your browser.

  • Can I make a meme from a description?

Yes. In the box below the memes, describe the picture, the joke or both, for example: a cat staring at a cucumber, captioned 'Not today'. Craiyon makes the picture and writes its caption, which opens above to change and download.

  • Can I write my caption in my language?

Yes. Write it as you would say it; short captions fit the picture best.
