AI isn’t just something organizations need to govern, it can actually strengthen Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) itself. As I continue learning about GRC, I’ve been thinking about how AI can be implemented to make risk management smarter and more proactive. Here’s where AI can support GRC: • Risk Identification: AI analyzes data and threat intelligence to detect emerging risks faster than manual reviews. • Continuous Compliance Monitoring: Monitors controls in real time and flags anomalies instantly. • Policy Review: Checks policies against frameworks like National Institute of Standards and Technology and International Organization for Standardization to identify gaps. • Vendor Risk Management: Evaluates third-party risk more efficiently. • Predictive Insights: Forecasts potential compliance and operational risks before incidents occur. But here’s the important part: If we use AI in GRC, we also need governance for that AI especially with regulations like the EU AI Act emerging globally. AI can make GRC more intelligent. GRC ensures AI remains accountable. The future isn’t AI replacing GRC professionals it’s AI empowering them to focus on strategy, ethics, and leadership. Mehr sehen
