POND SPECIFICATION Design • In the area outside the living room above the path, we will have a rectangular corten steel pond 2000mm (L) x 800mm (W) x 600mm (D) oriented east to west sunk 300mm into the earth. Two holes will be drilled at the top on the long south side the for the water inlet and electrics. • On the 800m east side will be a substantial brick pillar using reclaimed bricks from the old wall at the front of the house to a finished height of 600mm above the ground to leave a 300mm drop for a corten steel blade into the brick pillar. • A pump in the pond will pump water round to the back of the brick pillar and out through the corten blade. 1. Corten Steel Tank Specifications • Overall Dimensions: 2000mm (L) × 800mm (W) × 600mm (D) • Material: Custom welded Corten steel tank • Interior Finish: Lined / waterproofed with black polyurea elastomer coating • Installation Depth: Partially submerged—buried 300mm into the ground, with 300mm sitting above ground level • Orientation: Oriented East-to-West • Base Prep: Set on a level 100mm compacted MOT Type 1 sub-base capped with a 50mm sharp sand/sharp gravel bed 2. High-Level Tank Penetrations (South Wall) • Location: On the 2000mm long South wall, set 50mm to 100mm in from the East corner and 50mm down from the top rim (well above the maximum water line). • Hole 1 (Water Inlet): 32mm diameter cutout fitted with a 1-inch (25mm) threaded bulkhead connector for the heavy-duty flexible supply hose. • Hole 2 (Electrics): 20mm Ver mais
