An authentic historical black-and-white photograph from 1955, showing a 20-year-old German woman named Erika inside a kitchen dating from the Weimar Republic era. On the white kitchen wall, between a white wooden kitchen cupboard and the kitchen door, a small rectangular slate hangs from a nail. Directly below the slate is a vintage cast-iron wall hook. Hanging from the hook is a traditional school cane made of light-coloured rattan with its characteristic curved, rounded handle loop. Erika has a very slender, petite and seemingly fragile build, with narrow shoulders and a shapely bottom that forms a striking contrast to her delicate frame. She is wearing a close-fitting, figure-hugging, blue-and-white checked smock dress, buttoned all the way down the front, which clings tightly to her curves. Beneath the thin cotton fabric, she is not wearing a bra, which makes her small breasts appear modest and flat. Her shoulder-length, soft blonde hair gently frames her natural, make-up-free face. Her demeanour is submissive and shy; with a fearful expression, she gazes down at the floor.
