The road was 2x2 lanes until the edge of the city, then narrowed to a smooth two-lane. Then the mountains began. Huge, barren, rocky mountainsides towered before me. And the road began to rise. I watched the GPS, 100 meters suddenly became 500 m, then 1000, 2000, 3000 and so on. During that time, I barely covered 60 km since Lima. There was traffic, a couple of sluggish trucks and buses struggled with the climbs, it was hardly possible to overtake them. Anyway, the scenery was breathtaking. Ver mais
