Maisie and Whoops had been practicing a magic show for weeks. The first trick they learnt was the ‘Vanishing Spoon’ where Whoops pushed a spoon up Maisie’s sleeve. No one else could see Whoops!. Another was the floating scarf where Whoops lifted the scarf with his tail. Maisie also told jokes in between tricks and Whoops rolled on his back laughing with encouragement. Maisie decided to hold her show in the garden by the Rose Arch. She stood centre-stage on a little mat, wearing her sparkly cape which was slightly wonky and her paper crown that sat crooked on her head. She gave an enormous smile and waved to the audience.
