One of my favorite pieces I made is a collage that really reminds me of Cubism. It’s based on a street corner during sunrise, but instead of drawing it realistically, I broke it up into a bunch of shapes and different angles to show it from more than one point of view at the same time. That’s something artists like Picasso and Braque did a lot in their Cubist work. I used mostly soft, quiet colors with a few warm ones to make it feel like the sun is just starting to rise.
