80s sci-fi ground battle on alien planet with fighting units and munitions in air

an 80s looking sci fi ground battle on a planet that isnt earth seen from afar. In the distances units are fighting across the terrain. Munitions are streaking through the air and a single gunship swoops in low as it launches a missile. The squads in the battle are severla hundred meters away at least. most of the view should be filled by the occurances on the planet rather than the sky. Make the gound combat the main focus with lots of infantry and vehicles combat half sween at a distance through the fog.
