A dark Renaissance-inspired oil painting in the style of a mysterious 16th-century Byzantine and Ottoman religious artwork, representing Phantasm — illusion, memory, desire and the inability to distinguish what was real from what the soul desperately wishes to be real. Never depict Maria directly. Instead, show an enormous abandoned chamber filled with translucent scenes floating like fragments of dreams: a ruined ancient city, a small empty bed, an untouched drinking vessel, an ancient sword, burning tablets, and a distant radiant figure whose features cannot be seen. Every scene appears to be reflected inside hundreds of suspended fragments of glass, but each reflection subtly changes the events, making it impossible to know which version is true. At the center stands an empty human-shaped silhouette made of smoke and faint golden light, reaching toward the distant figure but never touching it. Behind the silhouette, its shadow reaches in the opposite direction, toward darkness. Some objects appear solid while others dissolve into mist, creating the sensation that the entire painting is remembering something incorrectly. The atmosphere should evoke longing, false memory, grief and supernatural deception, as though the painting itself cannot remember what truly happened.
