an oil painting that depicts a southern juke joint of the late 60s early 70s if the artist had strong roots in this community, but had never lived there only heard stories of what they were like on a Saturday night in the summer. He now lives in Chicago in the projects in 1976, he is very talented and only 19 years old. The interior should be wooden with a balcony in the background and wrapping to the right. A 3 piece band; Saxophone, Standing, Trumpet, sitting, Guitar standing (left handed), and lead singer with a microphone, Brown suit, is located to the right on a stage with the oldest security guard possible sitting in a chair. the vibe is excitement the room is full but not crowded there is a focal light source that draws the eye to the center of the room by emitting a triangular beam of light into the crowd. The dress is casual, women in slip dresses, men in jeans and t-shirts. There are signs (painted on sheets) in the rafters advertising various activities at "The Sugar Shack". The art work should be stylized and while the human figure is easily recognizable, limbs and movements should be slightly exaggerated. Voir plus
