A Renaissance ruined aqueduct as layered paper-cut, tiers of ochre, olive and dusk-blue card cut into the surviving arches, a river valley and umbrella pines, lit from behind so the farthest layer glows palest and the arches stand dark, cut shadows between the tiers, the layers running to all four edges with no paper margin or border, flat and square-on.
