A large, fish-scaled creature with a spring tail and trunk-like nose looks at children playing in a sunny school playground, while a smaller creature guards an egg in the sand.

The animal walked closer to the school playground. It balanced on its back legs as it sat on its spring-like tail to look at the children. It had three long claws on each of its front legs. These looked like they were used for fighting, just like their sharp teeth. Its mouth was surrounded by scales which looked like those of a fish. It looked care­ fully around through its one big eye before it moved into the playground. The animal smelt the air with a nose which looked like an elephant's trunk. The bell rang for the change of period. This was enough to scare it away. Just before the animal ran away, it used its two front legs to bury a large egg in some sand.
