We want to make an image of a first century poor Galilee one-room home. The walls are basalt rock, with smaller stones fit between larger stones. The ceiling has a couple rough lumber rafters going one direction, with sticks covered by mud going the opposite direction. The floor is packed dirt. There are spices and food hanging from the ceiling. There is a raised area in the back for sleeping and family life. There is a single door in the front left, and a small window on that same wall. There are large earthen pots for storing grain, oil, and other food essentials along the wall. There are no benches or other wooden furniture, but there are cubbies in the stone wall for storing utensils and oil lamps, which are not lit because it is day. There may be woven baskets suitable to first century Galilee. Some straw mats are on the floor, some are rolled up against the wall. This is a lived in space. Ver más
