That's a fun premise that fits the Minions' slapstick style: they desperately want to serve an evil master, but their well-meaning incompetence keeps ending every partnership almost immediately. One important change I'd suggest is avoiding depictions of real historical people (such as Moctezuma II, Queen Elizabeth, or Blackbeard) being graphically or comedically killed.
