View is from a second floor deck, looking parallel to the length of a house, which is on the right, about 40 feet of wall length, with red siding. The wall is mostly that of a partial basement level, but near the far end, at level for the first floor. The far corner of the house and adjacent lawn sit at a grade that is supported by two mostly separate dry-stack stone retaining walls. The upper wall is 4 feet tall and supports a level grade at the upper/far corner of the house. Below it, and closer to the viewer by about 15 feet, is another retaining wall, 2.5 feet tall, creating a second level terrace. Along the wall of the house is a pathway of fieldstone, with two sets of natural stone steps that ascend beside the terraces. The path and steps are about 3 feet wide, and are also foundational stones for a stone wall that retains the terraces from the walkway and house. Ver más
