The Mighty Kong: Part V INT. ALHAMBRA THEATER - NIGHT (2005 TIMELINE) The dimensional shift snapped the world into high-contrast theatrical glare. Jack Driscoll found himself standing at the edge of the wings inside the vast Alhambra Theater, rendered in the clean, vibrant, animated lines of the 1998 feature. Before him, Kong stood bound in massive chrome-plated shackles on the main stage, an immense captive titan under blinding follow-spots. The red velvet curtains opened to reveal a tiered, mock-pyramid wooden stage altar flanked by two tall pillar poles. Bound between them in a sacrificial pose was a chorus girl hired to play a surrogate Ann Darrow. Standing exactly 5'4" against the uprights, she was styled as a theatrical exaggeration of a vulnerable 1930s beauty. She wore a beautiful, sleeveless, form-fitting, full-length white evening gown—the exact kind of cinematic elegance you'd expect Kong's legendary Beauty to wear. The back of the gown's neck was accented with a separate draped scarf, making the dress appear cowl-necked at first glance, mimicking Ann’s iconic look perfectly. She wore full opera-length white gloves stretching up to her biceps, and her delicate, decorative chrome steel wrist cuffs and prop chains glinted in the light. Draped low around her waist was a gold chain belt, with extra lengths of chain looping down decoratively from the main band.
