Their quiet world changes when two mysterious women arrive with three floating members of the Quartz Complaint Committee. The strangers appear harmless, but strange events begin spreading throughout the land. They steal the finest portions of every meal, avoid fire, and seem connected to an ancient force moving through the night sky: the legendary Moon Shark Dragon. Life should be peaceful, but soon the family discovers a terrible truth and instead, it becomes haunted and dangerous. Two strange women arrive at their lodge during a winter storm, accompanied by three argumentative members of the Quartz Complaint Committee, interstellar officials whose sole purpose appears to be making simple situations unnecessarily complicated. Deep beneath the mountains lies the Quartz Heartstone, an ancient crystal that preserves the memories of every generation that has ever lived upon the world. It acts as a bridge between the living and the spirit realm, ensuring that loved ones, histories, and stories are never truly lost. But the Heartstone is cracking.
