The 33rd Annual Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards (officially titled Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards 2020: Celebrate Together) were held virtually on May 2, 2020, and were hosted by Victoria Justice. The ceremony was intended to be held on March 22, 2020 at the Forum in Inglewood, California as a tie-in with Nickelodeon's annual Slimefest event. Chance the Rapper was intended to host the show, which would have featured a performance by Justin Bieber and Migos member Quavo. However, both the 2020 Slimefest and KCAs were cancelled due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, and a "best-of" compilation special aired in the KCAs' original March 22 timeslot. On May 2, a special edition subtitled Celebrate Together aired on Nickelodeon in a domestic simulcast with other ViacomCBS networks that was tape delayed across all of Nickelodeon's international channels. The virtual ceremony was hosted by Victoria Justice, and featured a performance by Asher Angel, a reunion of the cast of Avengers: Endgame, and a segment about slime physics filmed aboard the International Space Station. The 2020 KCAs marked the first time that the show was held virtually, and marked its smallest ceremony since 1987, when the first show (under the title The Big Ballot) was composed of prerecorded segments linked by celebrity hosts. The final part of the Henry Danger series finale "The Fate of Danger", originally planned to premiere right before the 2020 KCAs, instead aired on March 21. See more
