My Future Self: Five Years From Now I have completed my Master’s degree in Computer Science, and through my education and professional experience, I developed a strong interest in understanding both technology and business. I realized that computer science can provide powerful technical solutions, but understanding business administration is equally important when it comes to applying those solutions in the real world. This interest in both fields motivated me to pursue a Doctor of Business Administration with a concentration in Applied Computer Science and Research. Five years from now, I imagine myself as a successful professional who has completed my DBA and has built a career that combines computer science, software development, business strategy, research, and innovation. I want to use the knowledge I gain from both fields to take on challenges that require not only technical skills but also business and leadership skills. As a computer science professional and developer, I want to be recognized for creating practical technology solutions that solve real-world problems. I see myself working in roles such as a software developer, technology consultant, technical lead, solutions architect, or applied computer science researcher. I want my work to go beyond simply writing code. I want to understand the actual problem, research possible solutions, and develop technology that can improve the way businesses and organizations operate.
