Behold now a single grand instruction, as though rendered upon one sacred folio by the hand of a devoted monk—where word and image are woven together in solemn (and slightly absurd) harmony: The Codex of Undead Annihilation Upon a great sheet of aged parchment, bordered with curling vines of gold and azure, let there be inscribed in flowing gothic script the five holy rites of survival. Each sacred passage is accompanied by a small illumination, painted in bright pigments and fine detail, to guide both the eye and the soul. The First Rite – Of the Sacred Armament At the head of the page, a grand letter begins the text. Here it is written that thou must seek and obtain a weapon of great reliability—an Assault Rifle, held as reverently as a knight holds his consecrated blade. Illumination: A noble knight clad in shining armor stands in solemn pose, bearing an assault rifle as though it were a holy relic, rays of golden light descending upon it from the heavens. The Second Rite – Of Awakening the Hidden Power Beneath it, the script speaks of venturing into shadowed halls to awaken the ancient force that lies dormant. Without this power, thy path is sealed and thy fate uncertain. Illumination: A hooded monk within a dim stone castle reaches forth to a glowing switch upon the wall, as light spills forth and banishes the darkness around him. The Third Rite – Of the Strengthening Draught Further down the parchment, it is decreed that thou shalt partake of the elixir known as Mehr sehen
