Large-scale sculpture installation located outside the right-side foyer window of a modern school entrance. The scene centers on a life-size student made entirely from recycled materials, scrap metal, found objects, and reclaimed materials. The student is indoors, running toward the entrance doors. They are wearing loose pajamas, carrying a backpack that is falling off one shoulder, holding an umbrella, and one shoelace is untied. The student is stumbling and falling forward. A giant pink tardy monster reaches through the glass window from outside and grabs the student's ankle, pulling them backward. The monster's body is completely covered in thousands of overlapping pink tardy slips made from painted metal sheets, creating a textured scale-like surface. The tardy monster is smiling mischievously and its long tail trails outside. Outside the window are two additional tardy monsters. One carries a broken bicycle over its shoulder, with a flat tire, bent wheel, damaged frame, and a bicyclist helmet hanging from the rear wheel. A shattered alarm clock drags behind it on the ground. Another tardy monster is being pulled backward by a dog carrying homework papers in its mouth while tugging the monster's tail. The pink tardy monsters are the only brightly colored elements. Everything else uses realistic recycled materials, weathered metal, reclaimed wood, and found objects. The installation is humorous, whimsical, and highly detailed.
