The installation consists of three simple, crocheted sea creatures hanging vertically beneath each other, each mounted on its own horizontal piece of light driftwood. The background is neutral and calm to let the colors and symbolism speak for themselves. Top Level: The Axolotl (The Facade) Appearance: A bright pink and white axolotl with a wide, embroidered smile and large, happy safety eyes. It looks like a classic, perfect plush toy. Symbolism: Represents the polished smile and energy we project outwardly, especially on social media or when meeting strangers. Middle Level: The Octopus (The Filter) Appearance: A round octopus in a muted, matte blue color. It has neutral eyes with flat eyebrows, but no mouth. The arms are simple, twisted spirals. Symbolism: Represents the intermediate stage where we observe and adapt. The silence (lack of a mouth) shows how we hold back our own thoughts to fit into the situation. Bottom Level: The Jellyfish (The Deep Self) Appearance: A deep purple and dark blue jellyfish. It has no facial features—neither eyes nor a mouth. Long, uneven strands of yarn in various thicknesses hang straight down from underneath. Symbolism: Represents the inner depths where no one sees us.
