The hamlet is a “Rundling” or arranged in a rough circle shape to help with defence. The forest offers ample opportunities for hunting, trapping, and gathering, sustaining the villagers with its bounty, they do not farm and in general consider it a poorer and less god fearing way of life. The seven huts in Buschof are constructed from sturdy timber sourced from the surrounding forest. Each hut is built with care and attention to detail, featuring thatched roofs and wooden beams. Compared to the dark forest the interiors are cosy and welcoming, adorned with handcrafted furniture and warm hearths that provide comfort during the cold winter nights. In addition to the residential huts, there are also various outbuildings scattered throughout the hamlet near a well dug to provide a source of water filtered by the earth itself. These outbuildings serve different purposes, including storage for food and supplies, workshops for crafting tools and implements, and a communal open sided building for gatherings and celebrations. Despite the rustic appearance of the hamlet, the villagers of Buschof take pride in their community and generally work well together to maintain its beauty and functionality. From repairing huts damaged by storms to tending to outbuildings and the well, the residents of Buschof embody the spirit of cooperation and resilience, ensuring that their home thrives amidst the wilderness of the Great Forest.
