A design for a student living space featuring a student dormitory. The building is a 40x35 meter rectangular 'O-shape' with a 15x15 meter central garden. It has two stories (ground floor and first floor). The load-bearing system (columns and beams) is made of glulam, and the walls are gabion walls. Every room must have a window. The windows have to be placed on the outer and in side of the building. The exterior features green facades running in strips above and below the columns and beams. The roof is a green roof featuring photovoltaic panels, "small" vertical wind turbines that i send you, and student seating areas, surrounded by safety railings. Next to the building is a canal and the building is not at the corner of the canal. On this canal is an existing 40x8 meter platform used as an open study and seating area. Around the platform are three container houseboats (5x10 meters each).
