Part 1 1 It is a sunny afternoon (3 pm) at Cawsand Beach. Lucy, Maya, Justin, Abby and Sam are there with Sam’s parents and their dog Max. They take the ferry* from Plymouth and spend the day by the sea. The children fly kites*, laugh and enjoy a picnic together. Part 2 5 After some time, they see some grey clouds in the sky. The wind gets a little stronger, but it is still warm. Also the waves grow* bigger. Justin points* at the sea and says, “Look at the waves! Abby, Sam and the parents cannot see Justin, Maya and Lucy anymore. They are very worried*. Part 4 Sam’s parents and their dog Max run along the beach and call the children’s names, but the wind is very loud now. Sam takes his phone and calls the 15 police. “Hello, my name is Sam and my friends are lost*. They are somewhere at Cawsand Beach.
