Grace (25) is a black women who lives with Major Depressive Disorder and ADHD and has a physical disability which means she has to use a cane and sometimes a mobility device. Grace is is a recipient of ODSP. Being on ODSP she receives $1408 per month. She lives on her own and pays $1100 for a one bedroom apartment. When her bills are paid she only has $100 for food per month and relies on food banks to get by. She is on the list for subsidized housing but the wait could be upwards of 10 years. Currently, with Graces condition she is not able to work but would like to find something part time but feels discouraged about her future.
