2.) Shadow Reaver Shortsword (corrupted form of Flame’s Kiss) Shadow Reaver is the same weapon—but it no longer behaves like it. The once-bright steel has darkened into a matte blackened iron tone, as if the surface has absorbed soot and shadow over time. Beneath the metal, faint crimson veins pulse slowly like embers buried under ash. The gold line that once ran through the blade remains, but it has turned deep red, dim and uneven, as though the light inside it is struggling to survive. The crossguard has subtly changed shape. What once resembled flames now looks sharper, more claw-like, as if the metal has hardened into predatory forms when not observed directly. The leather grip is nearly black now, brittle at the edges but still intact, and the amber stone in the pommel is fractured internally, glowing faintly with a weak red light that flickers like a heartbeat under strain. The inscription is still visible, untouched by corruption: "In Shadows We Strike, In Light We Fall." It stands out unnaturally clearly against the warped metal, as though the weapon refuses to let those words fade. When drawn, Shadow Reaver seems to pull light away from its surroundings.
