Plant Bats — Ceiling Add another layer of life high above the cavern floor: Small-to-medium plant-like bats live among the enormous ceiling roots. They are genuinely living organisms, so Detect Life absolutely registers them. Most are difficult to see from the ground because of the cavern's scale and darkness. They cling to roots, sleep folded against the ceiling, and occasionally flutter from one root cluster to another. They aren't hostile. Their coloration and structure can be subtly botanical—perhaps leaf-like wings, tendrils, or bark-textured bodies. Their movements are infrequent enough that the party might initially mistake one for a shifting root. Mehr sehen
