Katie doesn't notice him at first and nearly steps on him. Maddox climbs up to her shoulder to get her attention. Katie is shocked, apologizes, and carefully helps him. She can barely see him because he's so tiny. They spend their days figuring out how to live with Maddox's tiny size. They watch movies, eat meals, and go about normal daily life while Katie and Ivy is always careful not to lose or accidentally hurt him. Maddox sleeps safely on a pillow. Katie and Ivy gently wakes him each morning with their fingers Katie and Ivy carries him carefully when they leave the house.
