My partner is going on a leadership course with her big4 accounting firm tomorrow. One of the tasks is to draw or create an image that depicts "what has made me the leader I am today, who I am and where and I'm going?" - she wants this to be creative and abstract as that is more her style. Write up of her below: "I want to be an inclusive leader, whose teams feel supported around her. Historically I have suffered with imposter syndrome leading to to me feeling overwhelmed and pressure to overachieve just to prove im worthy of my leadership position. Whilst deep down this feeling still remains, in recent times I am starting I am learning to become more comfortable in my role and have become far more confident and self assure - something I am eager to encourage my team to do the same. I want to be a leader with conviction, who has drives hard work, but also balance and I want to be a leader seen to practice what I preach. For example, I work hard, stay late and work silly hours, but every Wednesday I finish on time and attend a track session at my local running club, which is now widely known as a non-negotiable for me."
