ACTIVITY 11: TALKING PORTRAIT OF ANTAGONIST Goal: To develop critical thinking and the ability to see multiple perspectives. Suitable story: Snow White, Cinderella, Beauty and the Beast, Little Red Riding Hood Description: Each group is given an antagonist from a different story. Task: To create a "talking portrait" of them - a large drawing of the character, around which they will write: • Above the head: The character's thoughts (what they say to themselves) • In the mouth: What they say to others • In the heart: What they really feel • At the feet: What motivates them to act • In the background: Who or what made them become this way Final product: An exhibition of portraits that reveals the complexity of the "villains" and a discussion of how each character justifies their actions.
