I am someone who faces in-betweenness as I live between being a student and an increasingly independent teenager. I am also shaped by America’s culture of immigration. Although I am not an immigrant myself, my experiences and friendships have introduced me to different cultures and have shaped who I am today. Beyond that, as a member of Gen Z, I identify with a generation that grew up with smartphones, social media, and constant access to information. Our generation has many views that are unique from other generations. Additionally, I see myself as someone who values outdoor spaces and connects nature with mental well-being. Nature is a great place to mentally reset. Similarly, I really appreciate American wildlife and I have gained a deeper connection with nature and a greater understanding of how we as humans impact wildlife through environmental science classes which has pushed me to change my habits and beliefs. Lastly, I believe my life is very connected to the modern, computerized world. AI is slowly transforming technology and the way that the world operates which I believe is an imminent part of all of our lives at this point in time. Mehr sehen
