A Portuguese-Turkish dictionary under a patterned scarf with a tiny figure and a calla lily, in a 1990s analog film style.

A quiet, minimalist still-life photographed in a 1990s analog 35mm film aesthetic, soft documentary realism. A new, clean Portuguese–Turkish dictionary (dicionário português-turco) lies sideways on a simple neutral surface (light worn wood or stone). The book is visibly new: crisp edges, intact spine, clean cover, no aging, no stains, no wear. It has a solid, contemporary printed look. On top of the book rests a “lenço dos Romeiros” (Azores pilgrimage neck scarf). This is a traditional neck-worn scarf (not a flower, not a decorative cloth), used in religious processions. It is made of woven cotton fabric with authentic patterned print, slightly stiff but naturally draped. The scarf is placed casually over the book, forming soft folds due to gravity, not stylization. Within the folds of the “lenço dos Romeiros”, a very small human figure (miniature self) moves gently along the fabric creases. The figure is extremely small in scale, integrated into the textile structure like a quiet observational detail, not surreal or exaggerated. It behaves like a natural presence within a large landscape of cloth folds. At the highest fold of the scarf sits a single “conteira” (Zantedeschia aethiopica, Azorean calla lily type wild flower). It is botanically correct: a single upright stem with a smooth white-to-very-light-yellow spathe and green base. It is not stylized, not decorative, not multiple flowers. Only one. It appears naturally anchored into the fold without fantasy distortion. Mehr sehen
